Cultivate flexible perspectives and thinking skills

Building a user-friendly information system and

Aiming to realize a prosperous society

Nowadays, computer measurements reveal even physical movements and thought processes. We cultivate both technology and sensibility to utilize these skills in the creation of new systems, and develop engineers who are strong in both design and IT design.

FEATURES

  • 01

Strong in design & IT design
    train engineers

There are fields that you can study such as "information systems", "networks", "embedded systems", "web systems", "kansei design", and "CG/animation". Our educational system allows you to learn deeper knowledge and skills in line with your desired future vision, and cultivate a wide range of skills and ways of thinking.

  • 02

Must be useful in the real world
    Class & Career Program

There is a wealth of ``field practice'' where you go to various sites to understand and explore the usage status of IT technology in society. In the career program, you can develop your career outlook through special lectures inviting industry professionals.

  • 03

    Comprehensive information technology and
    Learn about information networks

In the ``Information Systems Application Exercises,'' students work on one problem throughout the semester based on their interests, such as embedded systems, web systems, and CG. In "Network Construction Exercises 1 and 2," students will learn practically about information networks, which are the fundamental technology of the information society, under the guidance of active engineers.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

  • Information system

Programming information systems that support modern society and are essential to daily life.
Students will acquire practical knowledge and techniques ranging from the basics of programming to software development methods.

  • network

Supporting social mechanisms, including Internet security systems
Understand the structure of networks and learn the technology and design required to build systems.

  • embedded system

The future of life, including TVs that can detect the presence of people and turn off automatically
Learn the knowledge necessary to develop embedded systems that are essential to the environment.

  • web system

Necessary for building web systems such as Twitter, Facebook, and online shopping
Learn about specification design, production direction, and programming techniques.

  • Sensitive design

By analyzing people's movements and sensibilities, we can enrich people and society and improve products and
We will consider the "human interface" that brings comfort to services.

  • CG/Animation

In addition to improving skills in CG, animation, image processing, etc.,
Learn content design techniques that combine images, audio, etc.

STUDENT'S VOICE

  • Kazuki Yoshikawa

    KAZUKI YOSHIKAWA

    Create games with 3D models
I was also able to develop information literacy.

Start by learning the basics of website production and information management. As the students progress through the school years, their knowledge deepens and they become able to take on the challenge of complex programming. In the third-year class where we created games using 3D models, we were able to experience the fun of moving objects in virtual space while exploring the balance of force, weight, and friction. Thanks to what I learned in class, I became more careful about information leaks such as fraudulent emails and identity theft. I believe that the practical knowledge and skills I gained at university will definitely be useful in society.

  • Mr. Masaki Hotta

    MASAKI HORITA

    cooperate to solve problems
My social skills have been cultivated.

Particularly memorable was the lecture on network building I took in my third year. I was not good at thinking and speaking on my own, but through group discussions and exchanging opinions, I acquired the ability to think and speak, and I also learned the joy of working with friends to solve problems. I would like to continue to utilize everything I have learned in this department, including social and collaborative skills related to communication, knowledge of programming languages and related mathematics, and techniques for creating and presenting PowerPoint materials, even after I get a job.

PICK UP SEMINAR

  • Kansei Information Design Laboratory

We are developing an educational system that uses the measurement results of human movements and biological signals. We are also conducting research to quantify the usability of things. Some of the research results are available on YouTube.

    > Youtube

  • Sound information processing laboratory

We conduct research on the analysis, understanding, reproduction, and synthesis of sound environments as information systems, with a focus on acoustic information processing and digital signal processing. Recently, we have been promoting research themes centered on the virtual reality of sound (such as next-generation audio technology using illusion-type sound image holography).
