With nature, people, and cities as fields

to create a better environment

acquire skills and abilities

There are many environmental problems that exist in modern society. Students will gain a deep understanding of these issues by investigating and measuring them themselves, and will develop practical technical skills to create desirable environments. We also support the acquisition of qualifications such as pollution prevention managers and biotope managers.

FEATURES

  • 01

    Students are the main characters!
Active learning where you think and learn by yourself

A curriculum structure that enhances the quality of learning from both theory and practical skills. Gain deep expertise and a broad perspective through field-based active learning.

  • 02

    fulfilling
    Education/research environment

In addition to acquiring basic academic skills, students also take practical courses with a view to their careers starting in their first year. In the third year, students are divided into four courses: ``Environmental Technology'', ``Regional Ecosystems'', ``Environmental Greening'', and ``Environmental Planning'' to further deepen their specialized knowledge and understanding.

  • 03

Take charge of the next generation
Developing science and technology human resources

We have a wide range of field and experimental practice subjects to develop "science teachers who are strong in the field"! Also, learn about the joy of teaching from teachers who have experience teaching at middle and high schools.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

  • Environmental technology course

This course is designed to help students understand the mechanisms of environmental problems such as air pollution and water pollution, and acquire the knowledge and techniques for investigation methods, measurement and analysis, and purification necessary for conservation and restoration.

  • Regional ecosystem course

While learning about ecosystems in forests, rivers, and villages, and the relationship between nature and humans, students will acquire practical action skills and knowledge that are essential for protecting the richness of nature.

  • Environmental greening course

We aim to become a "green" specialist who designs green environments. Through practical exercises, you will learn the specialized knowledge and techniques needed to design everything from flower beds to parks.

  • Environmental planning course

Students will learn "planning techniques" such as analysis, evaluation, and management of regional spaces and ecosystems, and will work on issues related to public transportation, resource circulation, and local communities.

STUDENT'S VOICE

  • Kaito Matsumoto

    KAITO MATSUMOTO

    If we focus on greening
The way the city looks will change.

We are learning about landscape greening, the effects of biodiversity, garden/parking lot planning, waste disposal, etc. I am particularly interested in methods of seedling production for vegetative propagation of seed plants and cuttings. After deepening my understanding of rooftop greening, wall greening, and street trees in class, I started paying attention to the greenery in the city when I went out and thinking about whether it was functioning according to its purpose. I think this department is the perfect learning environment for people who are interested in plants, park management, drafting, etc.

  • Mr. Hayato Inami

    HAYATO INAMI

After a joint review of the garden design proposal,
    Improve your presentation skills.

I chose this department because I am interested in design and architecture that incorporates plants. In the second year, students acquire basic knowledge about the design of sustainable social environments, and in the third year, students learn how to construct dams and roads that do not place too much burden on the natural environment, and how to envision how they will look beautiful over time and prevent disasters. Learn more specialized fields such as landscaping planning. Since I have many opportunities to speak and make presentations in classes and seminars, I am now able to clearly express my opinions without being nervous even in front of a large number of people.
